Sandpiper

Sandpiper is an ex Fellows Morton and Clayton Motor Boat. Originally called "‘Falcon’ it was renamed ‘Sandpiper’ during it’s time working for Willow Wren. It came to us needing a new bottom, some new panelling on the back cabin and a re-paint. With limited reference material available for the colour scheme, careful research was research was required to recreate a historically accurate finished job.

Raven/Hydrus

Raven is a Star Class Grand Union ex working narrowboat. The vessel came to the yard needing major work to the hull and requiring a conversion from a “Butty” to a Motor Boat. This involved making a whole new stern end, complete new bottom and new hull sides up to the mast. All work was carried out sensitively, with careful attention paid to using traditional skills and methods to create a historically accurate restoration. The boat is hot riveted throughout including a brand new riveted engine room. All angle frame forming was carried out onsite using traditional methods. All woodwork carried out by the owner Paul Graves.

Narrowboat Swan

Swan was built at Yarwoods of Northwich in 1933 for the carrying company Cowburn and Cowpar. The boat has had extensive restoration work on the hull at Dadfords Wharf. This time it needed the panelling and the handrails replacing on the back cabin and engine room. Along with a full repaint and new ash strips on the cants.
